Fuel System Refresher

We do a lot of in-house training in our flight department. Each month a pilot presents a class of his or her own design. With three pilots, that means we each teach a class once a quarter. The fuel system lends itself to a G450 / G550 approach, since they are so similar.

The G550 obviously carries more fuel for longer durations at higher altitudes, so it has a Heated Fuel Return System (HFRS) to combat the tendency of the fuel in the tanks to get too cold. There are a few other minor differences in the number of probes and where hydraulic system fluid goes for fuel/hydraulic heat exchange.
